Our approach to projects varies widely for each engagement, as we frequently adapt our approach to client preferences. While Saturn Systems has established its own consistent process and delivery methods for software development, many of our customers have their own processes and systems they would prefer that we use. Methodologies range from traditional waterfall to agile development. We recognize there is value in both models and we can effectively apply principles from each, as appropriate. A key feature of Saturn Systems is our ability to be adaptable and easy to work with.

The Saturn Systems process revolves around a secure, interactive, web based portal, visible to developers and customers. This organizes and tracks tasking, milestones and documents associated with projects. Every project starts with an extensive online checklist that ensures all common project tasks are acknowledged and addressed. During the project the portal is kept up to date to show progress. In addition, customers are provided with regular formal status reports on technical progress and project budget.

While Saturn Systems does employ a handful of telecommuters, the majority of our development staff is in the office every day. We feel that daily interaction and access to advanced technical expertise in a variety of technologies provides an intangible benefit for our developers and customers.
